Minutes from PC Meeting on 9/12/06

News/Announcements:
Receipts for reimbursement should be given to Amit only at PC meetings
Mandatory Suitcase Clinic retreat will be on Saturday, September 23rd in 200 Wheeler; cost is $7. Breakfast is from 9-10, and the actual retreat begins at 10.

Issues:
Relocating PC: meetings have not been productive for a while; they are cutting into General Clinic time and are not properly integrating all the clinics together, as well as the class with the clinics
PC needs to bring issues together, create communication, get help for real problems, help achieve goals, create a forum for debate, and allow for discussion
Admin also wants to coordinate trainings for officers to reconnect with the fundamentals of clinic work
Voting Items/Issues:
PC needs to decide on a time, location, and the frequency of PC meetings
One idea is to meet at University Hall on every other Wednesday at 7, after GSI class. Issues with this idea are:
-There will be no continuity between clinics
-There is too much information to exchange to have clinic every other week
-Suitcase Clinic is an umbrella organization with a lot of smaller groups within it, so PC meetings should reflect that and keep the groups together
4. Votes:
Keep all current decisions temporary, to be decided on again next semester: Yes
Vote through preferences for time: No
Have PC at: 7 on Thursdays (at Wheeler), 7 on Wednesdays (at University Hall), 5:30 on Tuesdays (before General Clinic)
Frequency of PC: every other week for 1 hour, every other week for 2 hrs w/one hour devoted to PC and one hour for small group, every week with one week for PC and the next for small group, or once a month for 2 hours devoted to PC.

Votes were given to Amit and tallied up; results showed that PC will now be every Wednesday at 7 at University Hall. The next PC is on Wednesday, September 27th.
