Interested in volunteering with the Suitcase Clinic?
This semester’s HMS 98/198 will be held Thursdays from 5-7PM in 200 Wheeler. During the first week of class we will be giving an introduction of the Suitcase Clinic and passing out applications for the course. Clinic tours will be held on Monday September 3rd at the Women’s and Youth Clinic, and on Tuesday, September 4th at the General Clinic. Applications for the course are due by Wednesday, September 5th, by 4PM in 570 University Hall. Students who get into the class will be informed that night, and course entry codes will be given out on Thursday in class. If you are interested in taking the course just show up this Thursday; you do not need to sign up through Telebears, as the waitlist is not yet active for this course. We look forward to meeting everyone this Thursday at 5PM. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to email class.
Share ThisVF Jeanswear generously donated nearly fifty large boxes of clothing to our drop-in centers this past week. The Suitcase Clinic is a non-profit student-run organization, with all funding originating from continuous work on grants and from gifts from members of the community. All donations are tax-deductible, and are greatly appreciated!

Share ThisAre you interested in becoming a part of the Suitcase Clinic, but are unable to take Health and Medical Sciences 98/198 during either the fall or spring semester? Consider attending our day-long Summer Training Session, which will be held on June 23rd from 10:00 AM-4:00 PM in 122 Barrows Hall. This will be hosted in order to train new volunteers to staff our three drop-in centers in the city of Berkeley. You will be fully qualified to volunteer upon the completion of the training session, with experience commensurate to that which would be gained through HMS 98/198. You will be expected to volunteer as a caseworker at our three drop-in centers within the city of Berkeley at least four times upon the successful completion of this training regiment. No reservations are required in advance; simply show up on June 23rd and you will receive all the requisite briefing and documentation. Keep updated by reviewing our website, www.suitcaseclinic.org, and you optionally subscribe to our volunteer mailing list, through which you will receive regular updates about our organization, by sending an email to majordomo.
