Comments:

  • “Julia Beylina knows her housing stuff!! She’s got a smile, a hug and a hygiene item for everyone. A question never goes unanswered and your life story never left unheard when you’re with this amazing girl!” – Erika Wallender
  • “Jen Stichman is a true inspiration. Her contagious passion and dedication pushes everyone to take that extra step to make Clinic the best it can be. I couldn’t have asked for a better teacher and friend.” – Erika Wallender
  • “Garrett Chinn has shown nothing but pure dedication in his time with clinic. He is so hardworking and passionate about what he does. He successfully took on the role of two people all by himself and not only met his duties, but managed to excel in his position.” – Seema Sood
  • “Erin Castle, darling, how much of life would and could continue without your delightful sarcastic humor? To this, you would probably say, ‘Oh Lord, that’s too funny.’ Coming out of the dorms together, I am grateful that HMS 98 has given us something more than a friendship to share. I can still remember the first time we had to choose among the clinic groups; I went with the General Clinic group and you went with Stacey’s group for Women’s Clinic. That was how it all started. You have stuck through with Women’s Clinic ever since and started coordinating and then CoCAing with us girls. Thank you for listening when I needed it most. Other friends will no doubt say the same thing about you, Erin. She is a great listener and maybe that is why there is that weird comforting feeling when she is around.” – Khoalinh Luong
  • “Your ability to connect with volunteers and clients at clinic is inspiring. I admire your compassion and your willingness to go out of your way to meet someone or check in with someone who was having a rough time the week before. I leave confident that women’s clinic will continue to thrive under your leadership.” – Jen Stichman
  • “Jasmine Wong, I don’t know where to even start. I am so grateful to have witnessed your enthusiasm in and outside of clinic. Similar to the clients, I know that not everyone can always simply put his or her appreciation onto a small thank you card like the one you received at TLC. I can only imagine that there are many more unwritten cards with the lives of clients that you have touched along the way. The world will still be full of challenges, but from our friendship, I am assured that your ‘faith in humanity’ will take you very far in life. I’m not much of a person on religion, but Jasmine, God bless you sweetie. Good luck with what life has to offer. You are amazing.” – Khoalinh Luong
  • “Lauren Wu has gone from being one of the most dedicated volunteers, to one of the most dedicated coordinators. Some nights she has almost single handedly run General Clinic. Faced with the most daunting tasks, she has performed superbly.”
  • “Nancy Kim has long been a fixture of Health Education at General Clinic. She was continually ready with any item needed and full of knowledge to dispense.”
  • “Khoalinh Luong and I lived in the dorms together freshman year and were in the Suitcase Clinic class together the fall of our sophomore year. We each became coordinators and then CoCA’s at our respective clinics, General for her and Women’s for myself. Over these past four years I have been witness to Koalinh’s compassion and dedication. I am thankful our lives have crossed and I know she will go on to do great things. I am going to miss her very much!”
  • “I am so thankful Kristin Moosmann crossed over from General to Women’s Clinic! Her strength of character, compassion, and ability to balance her many responsibilities with a fun, relaxing attitude has taught me so much. Both in and out of Clinic, Kristin has been a true friend and I am thankful we will both be bumming around the Bay Area a little while longer together!”
  • “There are many words to descibe Adam Balinger’s time at clinic; however, only four can truly describe him. Adam is the SUITCASE CLINIC BAD ASS.”
  • “Emily Huang was the shining star of PR. Without her hard work and determination, none of what PR has accomplished this semester would have been possible.”
  • “Toff Peabody is one of the strongest leaders I’ve ever known. his presence makes you listen to what he has to say. During the decade or so Toff has been involved in the suitcase clinic, he has embodied all that clinic is about. I know Toff will go far in life… ANYWAY, I love ya Toff!”
  • “Miguel Angel Meza’s constant dedication to both class and clinic will be greatly missed, neither will be the same without his quiet, but greatly needed contributions. Miguel cares so deeply about everyone with whom he interacts, clients and students alike. Clinic won’t be the same without him.”
  • “Andrew Birkeland’s smiling face and laid back attitude always make both class and clinic more enjoyable. It’s been a pleasure working with him, and I will always remember his positive attitude.”
  • “Anh Nguyencomes every single week and gives massages for a hour and a half at the Women’s Clinic. She is incredibly dedicated and a fantastic volunteer. She is always trying to improve her services and she is always smiling and takes on extra work.”
  • “Jen Verzosa has worked so hard over the past year to incorporate all of clinics ideas for PR. She organized a fantastic tournament and t-shirts!! She trained the new PR Girls and is always looking to help out clinic in any way possible even outside of PR. She is so active considering her busy schedule. She is such an asset to the SC!”
  • “Mike Tran helps a lot in clinic besides being clinic coordinator. He is always here early to set up the hall and does foot washing when he is done with optometry or when things calm down a bit.”
  • Miguel Angel Meza is always here early to set up the hall. He is totally reliable and always smiling. He is also recognized for his dedication and self-less giving.”
  • “Cory Edelson has done so much for the SC this year! She revised the policy book on top of being a fabulous clinic coordinator and class coordinator. Those are a lot of achievements and it would be hard for someone to top her accomplishments and still manage to continue with school.”
  • Roy has contributed to the Suitcase Clinic for many years. He is in charge of ‘Day in the Life’ and was also this semester’s diversity speaker.
  • “Usha Kumar cuts hair at the general clinic. She has a great attitude! Usha also is a go-getter and takes charge!! And is very positive and energetic!”
  • “Jen Stichman for always being at clinic and always being ready to go, she is super dedicated.”
  • “Patricia Dizon is always busy and stressed but she always manages to make really great dinners happen at the Women’s Clinic. She’s always very kind and shows her concern for the women in everything she does.”
